Urban Decay Cannonball Ultra Waterproof Mascara

I’ve used enough waterproof mascaras to know that doesn’t mean they will be sweat-resistant or oil-proof especially with oily lids like mine. To put Urban Decay’s Cannonball Ultra Waterproof Mascara to the test, I brought it along on my recent trip abroad where I was out for 12 hours everyday.

The Cannonball Mascara has a slim brush which is practical and useful for reaching the base of my lashes. It separates my lashes without clumping but I’d expected it to be more volumising. Instead, I find that it lenghtens more than it thickens lashes.

With Cannonball

Just 2 coats of the mascara is sufficient to get the results seen in the pics. Although it has a slight curling effect, I do use an eyelash curler prior to application in order that my lashes remain curled all day.

There were days when there was no smudging on my under-eye area and days when there was minimal smudging. It will probably not smudge on people with less oily lids than mine. The brush is small enough to use on the lower lashes, if one chooses to.

This is an easy to remove mascara, there are no residues in the form of flakes which I got from Maybelline’s Magnum Mascara, for example. The contents are made in Japan and filled in China.

The Cannonball Ultra Waterproof Mascara is available at Sephora outlets (11ml/RM85).
