Shake It : Sephora Instant Moisture Mask

Here’s a D-I-Y mask with a difference – you have 4 sachets of 10g each and a cup. All you have to do is fill up the cup with water up to the level indicated on the cup, pour in one of the sachets, shake the cup like you would as if you were making a smoothie and you have an instant moisture mask.

Sephora’s Instant Moisture Mask is a hydrating mask which contains HydroSenn+, a plant-derived active ingredient which claims to provide instant moisture and comfort even more effectively than hyaluronic acid. It doesn’t contain parabens, sulfates or synthetic dyes.

I wish I’d read the product description here before using the mask for the first time because one sachet really is more than enough for 2 people! There was so much of the mask left in the cup after I’d applied it all over my face and neck. In fact, there was more than enough for 4 applications. You could use it together with your mum and 2 sisters or 3 friends and there’d still be some left over.

You have to shake the contents well otherwise you will end up with lumps which have not been mixed well with the water. The paste is quite thick but it is easy to spread it evenly. I just wish the sachets were smaller although of course I can just add half a sachet with half the amount of water.

After 10 minutes of usage, I washed the mask off to reveal a softer, smoother and brighter complexion. It only takes a few seconds to wash off the mask because it seems as if most of the mask has been absorbed into the skin. There was definitely less mask on my face after 10 minutes.

Available at Sephora outlets at RM39.
